0800 AOPEPI (0800 267374) has been set up so that those persons who wish to give evidence and share their experience with the widespread issue of state-sanctioned whānau intervention are able to do so.
Grievances in relation to the matter in which the Crown has interfered and destroyed whānau connections are now being heard in the Waitangi Tribunal. A group of District Māori Councils, the Waipareira Trust, prominent members of the Māori community and other Claimants which we act for are leading a case looking into these matters.
Anyone wishing to give evidence and share their experience with the widespread issue of state-sanctioned whānau intervention are encourage to ring 0800 AOPEPI and talk to one of our team. Confidentiality may be sought in relation to any evidence that you give and we will respect that for you.
